..,.
isn't to me. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me
because I am a taxpayer. Maybe the rest of you
people see it differently, but I don't see it that
way. To go from 128 to I25 possibly, to me
doesn't make a nickels worth of sense. I might as
well take the turnpike and go anywhere I want to
go, because that isn't taking me to the airport
and if I was going to the airport, if I asked
anybody how many people go to the airport everyday
I bet you there wasn't 800 of them going out of
Boulder to the airport. It's not going to be used
by the airport people, it's going to be used by
everybody, truck drivers, anybody. It doesn't
make sense, that is all I have to say.
Paula Newmann, 10935 Dillon Road
Newman: I'd like to bring to your attention the homes
along Dillon Road and 96th that would be affected
by the Parkway with the alignment that is being
proposed and I'd like to also offer alternate
alignment. I have this map that I drew up with
alternate alignment. The green line represent the
alignment that is being proposed not that goes
along 96th. The red dots are the homes along
Dillon Road and 96th, as you can see there are
quite a few. There are over 20 homes that are
going to be affected by that alignment. Possible
alternate alignment would be to veer off just
before STC and come across this undeveloped land
with no houses and then come up just south of
Dillon Road and just cut through a small portion
of Rock Creek Farm and come over to 287 where you
could cross 287, the railroad track and the creek
all in one bridge. This alignment would save all
the homes and I believe it would provide you a
good access on 96th for STC and CTC. Another
possible alignment I would like to bring to your
attention which would be a very straight shot from
128th, clear shot along the railroad track through
Rock Creek Farm and ending at the same point. It
is already leveled off, the railroad track is
supposedly being abandoned. It is a very
appropriate spot and I would just like to ask you
to possibly propose consideration of these
- alignments at the next planning committee. I know
you want to keep postponing your hearing, but our
comments we want you to know during the process
of the planning and hopefully the City of
Louisville will take these alignments under
consideration and protect the homeowners on 96th
and Dillon Road. Thank you.
15
