It stated that anyone applying <br />for a license in the City of Louisville <br />would have to go through a hearing at <br />City Council. Does that mean that anyone <br />who does not meet the educational <br />standards would have to go through that, <br />or does it mean anyone who does meet the <br />standards would have to go through the <br />hearing? <br /> <br />Frankl in: The exempt uses would not have to go <br />through public hearing process; athletic <br />department; accredi ted or qualified <br />massage therapists and so on would not. <br />Massage parlors and massage parlor <br />operators would still have to. <br /> <br />Jackson: Our organization and everyone in the <br />state would greatly applaud what you are <br />doing here in Louisville. <br /> <br />Hornbostel questioned how the list of accredited schools would be <br />kept updated. Franklin stated that the list is updated annually <br />and that if application was made for licensing and the school was <br />not on the current list the City would call for verification of <br />accreditation. <br /> <br />Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Carnival moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1047, Series 1991 - revising <br />Massage Parlor Regulation, seconded by Fauson. Roll call was taken <br />on the motion.
