If the new property owners don't have the same ability to go through this process I think that is wrong. I think they should be able to do the 501 as well as the 502, if it takes that to get what they are trying to accomplish. Brand: The dark blue line is what our planning department sees as our planning area where we have the ability to annex in the future. There is not much left and Cherryvale would not contest these areas that are now in Cherryvale, but then would be in the City limits of Louisville. Through this agreement we could simply petition them and they would exclude them. These blue areas are not a part of Louisville they are in our future planning district. We wouldn't go through this process because it would be automatic by this agreement. Brand: I need to know if you approve of the contents of this agreement. If you don't, what is it that you cannot approve? Then we need to get together with the Cherryvale Board and the two attorneys and see if we can reach some agreement and bring back a final document for you to approve on the 20th. We need to file with the District Court in August or early September in order to get this accomplished by the first of the year. Sackett: I like the idea that we are trying to give the Cherryvale Fire District an idea of what we think should be involved in the City of Louisville. Whether or not Cherryvale or Louisville Fire District provides the service, as long they're equal probably doesn't matter. So this is an attempt to maintain the tax base.
