Based on concerns
expressed to the Public Works Department by numerous residents and comments from City
Council, staff has prepared the following ordinance for consideration. The ordinance
revises speed limits in a residential district to 25 MPH, 30 MPH in a business district, and
30 MPH on collector streets unless otherwise designated. This ordinance in itself other
than the residential streets does not change the speeds on South Boulder Road, Via Appia
or any of the arterial networks those are all done by speed studies and/or designs.
