I think that <br /> is a compliment to the committee and the folks that did <br /> the work and their caring for the City. That exercise <br /> was completed and the City again was restored to its <br /> beautiful appearance. I would like to thank everyone <br /> that took part in that. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />PRESENTATION - DISTINGUISHED BUDGET PRESENTATION AWARD- <br />SHARON ASTI-CARANACI <br />Finance Director, Sharon Asti-Caranci, submitted the City's adopted 1991 Budget to the <br />Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards <br />Program to be reviewed by a panel of budget experts. The budget document was evaluated <br />using a comprehensive checklist and was rated either "proficient" or "Especially Notable" <br />in all of the following four categories: <br />o a policy tool <br />o an operation guide <br />o a financial plan <br />o a communication device <br />The City of Louisville was awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. This <br />award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting and represents a <br />significant achievement. <br />The City was also awarded a certificate of achievement for excellence in Financial <br />Reporting. <br />Mayor Fauson presented the award and certificate to Sharon Asti-Caranci, Director of <br />Finance. <br /> 3 <br />
