Task 4. Affordable Housing Task Force <br />March - June 2005 Appointed by Consortium of Cities. In - kind <br />staff support for logistics and research. <br />Professional facilitator. <br />Estimated Cost: $5,000 - $7,500 <br />Projected Funding: Boulder County <br />The task force should be comprised of Local Government Elected Officials and a <br />broadly- representative group of housing interests such as: <br />Nonprofit Housing Providers <br />For - profit Housing Providers <br />Public Housing Providers <br />Local Government Planning Staff <br />Local Government Housing Staff <br />Local Government Human Services Staff <br />Land Use and Design Professionals <br />Financial Institutions <br />.Residents of affordable housing, both owners and tenants <br />Business. Community and Major Employers <br />Builders of affordable housing <br />Special Needs Populations: seniors, people with disabilities, homeless, students, <br />safehouses, emergency family housing, and their advocates <br />Representatives of established Neighborhoods <br />The Task Force will be formally appointed by the Consortium of Cities after the Summit, <br />with a specific charge to be developed collaboratively by local governments, the Civic <br />Forum, and other key participants. Its work will bridge the ideas and conversations at <br />the Summit with the details of a county -wide Consolidated Plan. , The task force may <br />end up serving as the oversight committee for developing the Consolidated Plan or it <br />may make,its report in the form of recommendations to be considered in drafting the <br />Plan, or it may serve yet another function depending on the results of the previous tasks <br />and the process needs identified by the Consortium of Cities. <br />
