An <br />organizing committee is essential to determine expectations /purpose, desired attendees, <br />speakers, and background materials, and to recruit sponsors. In addition, a part -time <br />conference coordinator is also necessary to make sure deadlines are met; to be a liaison <br />with volunteers, speakers, sponsors and the facility; and to do the legwork of mailings, <br />preparing notices, nametags, etc. <br />
