COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: WILLIAM A. SIMMONS, CITY MANAGER <br />DATE: July 13, 2004 <br />SUBJECT: Review revised bid from ECI Site Construction Management for the 2004 <br />Skate Park Project <br />ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: Land Management <br />SUMMARY: <br />On July 6, 2004 a recommendation was made to City Council to award the 2004 Skate Park Project to <br />ECI Site Construction Management for a total price of $571,712.91. <br />At the direction of City Council, Land Management staff met with the low bidder, ECI Site Construction <br />Management to explore options for lowering costs related to the construction portion of the project to <br />remain within the allotted budget without compromising the facility's integrity. Staff will provide <br />Council with the revised bid at the study session. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff will review the revised bid from ECI Site Construction Management and determine whether or not <br />it should be recommended at the upcoming July 20 City Council Meeting.
