City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> May 18, 2010 <br /> Page 2 of 13 <br /> Mayor Sisk called for changes to the consent agenda and hearing none moved the <br /> consent agenda be approved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Marsella. All were in favor. <br /> Absent: Councilors Muckle and IDalton <br /> A. Approval of Bills <br /> B. Approval of Meeting Minutes May 4, 2010 <br /> C. Approve Contract with Trinity Mechanical Inc. for Replacement of South <br /> Plant Chlorine Room Mechanical <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy, Louisville, CO continued his filibuster regarding Comcast <br /> Cable Television. He felt the City protects Comcast from citizen complaints. He read a <br /> section of Ordinance No 1489, Series 2006 <br /> Rob Lathrop, 601 Johnson Street, Louisville, CO suggested the City Council evaluate <br /> and consider applying the City of Louisville sales tax to the rental of indoor and outdoor <br /> storage units. He prepared and presented a fact sheet estimating the sales tax, which <br /> could be derived by such implementation. <br /> Michael Menaker, 1827 W. Choke Cherry Drive, Louisville, CO addressed an issue <br /> regarding the Coal Creek Golf Course's failure to contract with local businesses. He <br /> reported the owner of the Marketplace Bakery was told to work with Sysco to get their <br /> products distributed to the golf course. He requested the City Council and the Golf <br /> Course Advisory Board urge the Coal Creek Golf Course management to buy locally. <br /> Jean Morgan, 1131 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO reported on Louisville resident Edith <br /> Guenzi's 100 birthday celebration at the Balfour Retirement Home. Mrs. Guenzi <br /> reminisced about growing up in Louisville. Ms. Morgan stated the event was very nice <br /> and well attended. <br /> Councilor Muckle arrived at the meeting at 7:09 p.m. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Mayor Sisk reported on the following: <br /> He thanked Ms. Morgan and all the well wishers who attended Mrs. Guenzi's <br /> 100 birthday celebration. He noted Mrs. Guenzi lived all her life in Louisville <br /> and worked for Mountain Bell for 40 years. <br /> Mr. Lathrop's proposal will be discussed at the City Council's budget session on <br /> June 22. <br />
