He thanked Deputy City Manager <br /> Balser and Councilor Muckle for their work on the US 36 Project. <br /> A traffic accident, which occurred on Saturday, May 15, at the intersection of <br /> McCaslin and South Boulder Road. Comments were received from the public on <br /> how well the Louisville Police Department and the Louisville Fire Protection <br /> District handled the situation. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming thanked the Downtown Business Association (DBA) and Block <br /> Captains Deb Krueger, Wendy Fiickbohm and Chris Pritchard for placing and <br /> maintaining the flower planters along Main Street. He reported 83% of Louisville <br /> residents have returned their census survey. The Census takers staff will be going to <br /> the residents in Louisville who have not responded to the mail survey. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SEMI ANNUAL UPDATE <br /> Shelley Angell, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, updated Council on <br /> the Chambers activities and goals for 2010. <br /> In January, 18,000 copies of the Business Directory and Community Guide were <br /> sent to homes in Louisville, Lafayette and Superior. <br /> The Chamber held a successful Business Showcase and Health Fair on April 7 <br /> at the Louisville Middle School. <br /> The Taste of Louisville is June 5 with the opening of the Farmers Market and the <br /> Loosa Paloosa, which features local bands. A half marathon and 5K will be <br /> added. <br /> The Spaghetti Open Golf Tournament is July 16 at the Coal Creek Golf Course. <br /> The Las Vegas Night at the Louisville Elks Club is scheduled in September. <br /> The Parade of Lights is December 3. <br /> A new program entitled "Putting the Pieces Together" introduces businesses on <br /> different sides of the City to each other to discuss common issues. <br /> The "Men's Chamber Calendar" will feature twelve men. <br /> Business Success Workshops for small businesses. <br /> After Hours, Networking and Ribbon Cutting ceremonies. <br /> CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS TO THE NEWLY CREATED GOLF COURSE <br /> ADVISORY BOARD <br />
