City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> July 6, 2010 <br /> Page 6 of 12 <br /> 1284 to cultivate a certain percentage of medical marijuana for its own operation, both <br /> existing dispensaries will have to do so outside Louisville city limits. <br /> Should City Council pursue an extension of the current moratorium, the next few <br /> months will determine whether Council desires to pursue the local option to ban medical <br /> marijuana centers (MMC) or prescribe regulations to permit MMC licensing. <br /> Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested public comment. There were no <br /> public comments. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> Councilor Sackett voiced opposition to the ordinance. He did not support the selling or <br /> growing of marijuana in the City of Louisville. <br /> City Attorney Light requested the motion for second reading of the ordinance, is the <br /> version which includes a moratorium extension deadline of July 1, 2011. <br /> Mayor Sisk closed the public hearing. <br /> MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved to approve Ordinance No. 1574, Series 2010, on <br /> final reading, seconded by Councilor Muckle. Roll call vote was taken. The motion <br /> carried by a vote of 6 -1. Councilor Sackett voted no. <br /> Mayor Sisk noted there will be discussion whether there should be a ban on medical <br /> marijuana dispensaries. <br /> Deputy City Manager Balser explained Staff will present more information at a Council <br /> Study Session relative to the options, proposed regulations and how it would affect the <br /> two existing dispensaries. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 39, SERIES 2010 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL <br /> REVIEW USE (SRU) REQUEST TO CREATE OUTDOOR PATIO SEATING FOR THE <br /> LUCKYPIE PIZZA RESTAURANT AT 637 FRONT STREET <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> Planning Director Russ explained the applicant, Brendan McManus, of LuckyPie LLC, <br /> has applied for a Special Review Use (SRU) to authorize an outside eating area for 637 <br /> Front Street. The 1,500 square foot patio is proposed for the front of the building on the <br /> east facing facade. The property is currently zoned Commercial Community (CC). <br /> The parking criteria has been met with 28 spaces for the entire site (12 overflow located <br /> on the south side of the parking lot). The applicant will commit to downcast lighting. <br /> The design will continue the traffic circulation flow of what was established for the Post <br /> Office. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 10, 2010, and by a 5 -0 <br />
