N. Water Treatment Plan
(Mesa Village HOA - Option #1)
This location was the first site requested for evaluation from the Mesa Point Home
Owners' Association. The site is located on the western portion of the North Water
Treatment Plant, immediately adjacent to the Louisville Reservoir and City of Boulder
Open Space. This location is on City property; however, the site is not currently
accessible for the maintenance vehicles needed to service the siren. The City would
likely need to rebuild and expand an existing culvert and stabilize the reservoir's road to
accommodate potential maintenance vehicles. The site provides excellent coverage
with the 70dB levels and no exposure to homes over 123dB. However, unstable soils
and adjacent trees limit the sites constructability and increase its environmental
impacts.
-- South Boulder Roach
Louisville Reservoir
9
Alternative
Coverage
Availability
Exposure
Access
Views
Environment
N.
