N. Water Treatment Plan
(Mesa Village HOA - Option #2)
This location was the second site requested for evaluation from the Mesa Point Home
Owners' Association. The site is located approximately 200' north of the first HOA
request also on the western portion of the North Water Treatment Plant, immediately
adjacent to the Louisville Reservoir and City of Boulder Open Space. This site is also
located on City property; however, because of constructability concerns, the site would
likely need to be shifted west onto City of Boulder Open Space. The City of Boulder has
denied the possibility of relocating the siren to this location.
The site is not currently accessible for the maintenance vehicles needed to service the
siren. The City would likely need to rebuild and expand an existing culvert and stabilize
the reservoir's road to accommodate potential maintenance vehicles. The site provides
excellent coverage with the 70dB levels and no exposure to homes over 123dB.
However, unstable soils and adjacent trees limit the sites constructability and increase
its environmental impacts.
Louisville Reservoir
Alt i_alive
Access
N.
