7 Xcel Energy <br />PARTNERS IN ENERGY <br />An Xcel Energy Community Collaboration <br />Memorandum of Understanding <br />Phase 2 — Plan Implementation <br />Kayla Betzold <br />City of Louisville <br />749 Main St <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />The intent of this Memorandum of Understanding is to recognize the achievement of the City of <br />Louisville in developing a Community Decarbonization Plan. Xcel Energy, through its Partners in <br />Energy offering, has supported the development of this Community Decarbonization Plan, which <br />seeks to: <br />• Further decarbonize Louisville's energy supply, <br />• Improve the efficiency of, and electrify, existing buildings, and <br />• Increase the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the charging infrastructure <br />necessary to support EV adoption. <br />This document outlines how the City of Louisville (the City) and Xcel Energy will continue to <br />work together to implement this Community Decarbonization Plan. The term of this joint support, <br />as defined in this document, will extend from April 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. <br />The City's Community Decarbonization Plan establishes the following goals and targets: <br />Community Decarbonization Plan Goal <br />The City of Louisville will reduce energy -related emissions 60% below 2016 by 2030 and will be <br />carbon neutral by 2050. <br />Community Decarbonization Plan Targets <br />Louisville's Community Decarbonization Plan sets the following annual targets for the 18-month <br />implementation period. _ <br />Participation in Xcel Energy Demand Side Management 710 160 <br />programs focus on electrification programs) <br />New EV's on the road 720 <br />New participation in Xcel Energy renewable energy 123 15 <br />Xcel Energy will support the City in achieving the goals of its Community <br />Decarbonization Plan in the following ways: <br />Residential Sector <br />• Strategy R-1: Single -Family Homeowner Engagement <br />o Draft a decarbonization roadmap (e.g., key steps and resources) to help single- <br />family residents navigate energy efficiency, electrification, and renewable energy <br />actions. <br />
