City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 18, 2024 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />Councilmember Kern asked if we have a timeline for getting information on permit fees, specifically how <br />much was collected versus costs. The Finance Director is working on collecting this information. He <br />commented that part of the challenge is that it is still ongoing. It will be brought to the committee as <br />soon as the information is available. <br />Councilmember Hamlington asked if there is anything the finance team feels should be brought up. The <br />Director of Finance commented that this is not a final report as it has not been audited yet. He noted <br />that at the next meeting we'll have 2024 Q1 numbers and in the next quarter, revised appropriations will <br />be included after the Budget Amendment adoption. <br />Councilmember Hoefner asked to see a variance report for current and prior years. <br />Public Comments: none <br />Monthly Revenues and Sales Tax Reports: <br />The Sales Tax auditors presented the monthly revenues and sales tax reports. The reports were included <br />in the meeting packet. <br />Committee Comments: <br />The committee expressed appreciation for the monthly and variance columns added to the report. <br />Public Comments: none <br />Finance Director Updates: <br />The Finance Director provided updates on Bond Council debt options, specifically at the Golf Clubhouse. <br />He noted that it is early in the 2025-26 budget development and we're seeing some pretty big asks in <br />relation to our cash flow. We are exploring options and have had initial discussions related to this topic. <br />If there is interest, reports can be brought to the committee at a later date. <br />Councilmember Hoefner asked for an update once the information is developed. <br />Closing Questions/Comments from the Committee: None. <br />Items for the Next Regular Meeting, scheduled for May 16, 2024, 4:00-6:00 PM: <br />• First Quarter Financial Reports <br />First Quarter Revenues & Sales Tax Reports and Bag Tax Update <br />Items were approved for the next regular meeting. <br />Councilmember Hamlington motioned to adjourn the meeting.
