Horticultural & Forestry Advisory Board <br />Agenda <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Chris commented that as Arboretum improvement plans go forward, residents of the <br />surrounding neighborhoods should be kept informed, especially regarding eventual use <br />of the area for events. <br /> Public Relations/ Notification for Library talks—Three talks will take place: Jim Ord <br />VIII. <br />Thursday, March 31Tuesday, April 5 <br />on; Carol O’Meara on (vegetable/heirloom <br />Thursday, June 16 <br />gardening); and Carol O’Meara on (garden bugs and diseases). <br />Publication media will include a flyer for emailing to several lists; announcements in the <br />Daily Camera and Hometown News; and possible insertion in City calendar which is <br />mailed with utility bills (depending on deadline.) Mike and Theresa will work on content <br />this week, and Meredith will put together marketing package with the theme to be <br />Timeline for email announcements <br />“edible landscaping.”: Feb 28 (general <br />announcement about all three talks); March 24 and 30 (Jim Ord); March 29 and April 4 <br />(Carol O’Meara); and June 9 and 15 (Carol O’Meara).
