<br />Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />October 25, 2006 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />I. A flier will be distributed as an insert in the water bill. <br />J. The Fundraising Committee will meet to decide how many other fliers/posters <br />should be put up around town and where. <br />k. Possibility of simple Guest Sign in Sheets at each home was discussed. <br />D. Membership <br />1. The drive is going well. We have 12 new Business Memberships. <br />2. The Junior Historian certificates are being designed and printed. <br /> <br />Chairperson's Report - None. <br /> <br />Old Business - Bridget Bacon will do a count of the number of Louisville Historians we mail <br />each quarter and Alice Koerner will get the forms and instructions for bulk mailing. If we <br />qualify, Donna Hauswald will sign the forms and we should be able to start with the first <br />issue in 2007. <br /> <br />New Business - Names were suggested for the 2007 Pioneer Award and will be finalized <br />at the November meeting. <br /> <br />Society Business <br />A. The Fall 2006 issue of the Louisville Historian is being assembled. Bridget will do an <br />article tying in the Holiday Home Tour. Home Tour fliers will also be inserted. <br />B. The Commission further discussed having Bill Cohen as a speaker for the annual <br />Historical Society Program, which may take place in April 2007. <br />C. Elle Cabbage will contact Marion Junior concerning the status of the 2006 ornaments <br />and Marion's interest in a craft booth during the home tour. <br /> <br />Commission Comments <br />A. The possibility of having a long range planning and goal-setting meeting in January <br />was discussed. This discussion will be continued at the November meeting. <br />B. Diane Marino (and possibly Dan Mellish) has volunteered to find out more about the <br />"Aging in Place" project with Claire and Herb Floyd. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />.
