The Fundraising Committee will meet to decide how many other fliers/posters should be put up around town and where. k. Possibility of simple Guest Sign in Sheets at each home was discussed. D. Membership 1. The drive is going well. We have 12 new Business Memberships. 2. The Junior Historian certificates are being designed and printed. Chairperson's Report - None. Old Business - Bridget Bacon will do a count of the number of Louisville Historians we mail each quarter and Alice Koerner will get the forms and instructions for bulk mailing. If we qualify, Donna Hauswald will sign the forms and we should be able to start with the first issue in 2007. New Business - Names were suggested for the 2007 Pioneer Award and will be finalized at the November meeting. Society Business A. The Fall 2006 issue of the Louisville Historian is being assembled. Bridget will do an article tying in the Holiday Home Tour. Home Tour fliers will also be inserted. B. The Commission further discussed having Bill Cohen as a speaker for the annual Historical Society Program, which may take place in April 2007. C. Elle Cabbage will contact Marion Junior concerning the status of the 2006 ornaments and Marion's interest in a craft booth during the home tour. Commission Comments A. The possibility of having a long range planning and goal-setting meeting in January was discussed. This discussion will be continued at the November meeting. B. Diane Marino (and possibly Dan Mellish) has volunteered to find out more about the "Aging in Place" project with Claire and Herb Floyd. Discussion Items for Next Meeting .
