Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 27, 2023 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />The applicant for this license was not present so a motion was made <br />by Carlson for the hearing to be continued to the January 2024 <br />meeting. Seconded by Kaufman. All in favor. <br />C. Public Hearing: Transfer Application — B&B Corporation d/b/a <br />Village Square Liquor — Retail Liquor Store License — 645 E. <br />South Boulder Road <br />The Public Hearing was opened by Lipton. The Secretary stated the <br />application was complete, the premises was posted, notice published <br />as required and no comments were received. Background reports <br />were conducted as required. There were no reasons to deny the <br />application. <br />There were no authority member disclosures and the members <br />agreed that the boundaries of the neighborhood are the current city <br />boundaries. <br />Lipton moved the entire application be made part of the record of the <br />hearing; Kaufman seconded. All in favor. <br />The applicant, Dhan Bhandari and his representative Kris Hoeltgen, <br />were sworn in by the Secretary and gave testimony on the transfer <br />application for the current Village Square Liquors. <br />The applicant provided written statements of support from several <br />Louisville residents. These were provided to the Authority members <br />by the secretary. There were no comments in opposition to the <br />application. <br />Kaufman noted that the applicants were of good moral character, <br />there is a desire for the license to be granted and that all City and <br />State law requirements have been met. Based on those findings, <br />Kaufman moved that the transfer of the Retail Liquor Store License be <br />approved. The motion was seconded by Carlson. Roll call vote was <br />unanimous for approval. <br />D. Discussion / Direction: Renewal Application — Western Golf <br />Hospitality, LLC d/b/a The Grill at Coal Creek — Hotel & <br />Restaurant Liquor License / Optional Premises — 585 W. Dillon <br />Road <br />The Secretary informed the Authority that the applicant was still <br />behind in their sales and use tax, but other payments due to the City <br />have been paid. The Authority decided to give the licensee until the <br />January meeting to come current on his obligations to the City. <br />
