Such <br />attachment shall not be accomplished by the use of toenails or nails <br />subject to withdrawal. Where positive connection to the primary building <br />structure cannot be verified during inspection, decks shall be self- <br />supporting. Connections of decks with cantilevered framing members to <br />exterior walls or other framing members shall be designed for both of the <br />following: <br />1. The reactions resulting from the dead load and live <br />load specified in Table 1607.1, or the snow load specified in Section 1608, <br />in accordance with Section 1605, acting on all portions of the deck. <br />2. The reactions resulting from the dead load and live <br />load specified in Table 1607.1, or the snow load specified in Section 1608, <br />in accordance with Section 1605, acting on the cantilevered portion of the <br />deck, and no live load or snow load on the remaining portion of the deck. <br />Sec. 15.04.100. - Section 1609.3.2 added —Wind loads. <br />The following Section 1609.3.2 is added to the 2024 International <br />Building Code: <br />1609.3.2. Wind Speeds. The minimum basic wind speed for <br />determining wind pressure shall be in accordance with this Section 1609 <br />and the Colorado Front Range Gust Map Study ASCE 7-10. <br />Sec. 15.04.110. - Section 1608.2 amended —Ground snow loads. <br />Section 1608.2 of the International Building Code is amended by <br />the addition of the following sentence inserted at the end of the section: <br />The ground and roof snow load shall be 30 pounds per square foot. <br />Sec. 15.04.120. - Section 1809.5 amended —Frost protection. <br />Item 1 of Section 1809.5 of the International Building Code shall <br />be amended to read as follows: <br />Extending 36 inches below finished grade; <br />Sec. 15.04.130.- Section 2704 Added- Energy Storage Systems ESS <br />Chapter 27 and section 2704 of the International Building <br />Code is added and reads as follows: <br />
