ORDINANCE NO. 1499 SERIES 2006 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17.24 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE AND THE LOUISVILLE COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT DESIGN STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES REGARDING SIGNS WHEREAS, the City of Louisville is a Colorado home rule municipal corporation duly organized and existing under laws of the State of Colorado and the City Charter; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such home rule authority and state law, the City has adopted procedures and standards pertaining to the regulation of signs within the City; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 715, Series 1981, Ordinance No. 1075, Series 1992, Ordinance No. 1115, Series 1993, and Ordinance No. 1147, Series 1994 the City Council has previously adopted an amended a City sign code; and WHEREAS, the City Council by this ordinance desires to amend the sign code of the City as previously adopted, and desires to amend related provisions of the Louisville Commercial Development Design Standards and Guidelines; and WHEREAS, the Louisville Planning Commission, after notice by publication and a public hearing, has recommended the City Council approve the amendments set forth in this ordinance; and WHEREAS, City Council has provided notice of a public hearing on said ordinance by publication as provided by law and held a public hearing as provided in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Chapter 17.24 of the Louisville Municipal Code is amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are strieken through): Chapter 17.24 SIGNS Sec. 17.24.010. Purpose.
