ORDINANCE NO. 1593 <br /> SERIES 2011 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13.12 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE REGARDING TAPS FEES FOR WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS HAVING <br /> DIFFERING TAP AND METER SIZES, AND REGARDING BILLING FOR UTILITY <br /> SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Chapter 13.12 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code to codify the City's policy regarding tap fees to be paid for water service connections having <br /> differing tap and meter sizes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further desires to amend Chapter 13.12 of the Louisville <br /> Municipal Code to add provisions authorizing partial payments, leak credits and the waiver of <br /> penalties in relation to billings for utility services provided by the City; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. Section 13.12.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows (words to be deleted are stricken through; words to be added are underlined): <br /> Sec. 13.12.030. Tap fee for residential units. <br /> A. If the applicant for a water service requests tap permit desires a <br /> larger size tap and meter that are not the same size or a tap that is larger than is <br /> required by reference to the Plumbing Code adopted by the city and set forth in <br /> Title 15, the fee chargeds shall be the minimum fee for the size tap desires meter <br /> required, and any change in the meter size shall be subject to the provisions of <br /> section 13.12.040.A.2. <br /> B. In the event a consumer desires to provide automatic fire control <br /> protection for the consumer's residential unit premises and for emergency service <br /> oniy, which requires a tap or service larger than three fourths -inch, the tap fee <br /> charged shall be based only on the meter size as determined by reference to <br /> ClemnandT met in the Plumbing Code adopted by the city and set forth in Title <br /> 15, as then in effect, and by reference to the table of fees established by the city <br /> administratermanager in accordance with section 13.12.040. The user shall be <br /> required to pay the full cost of installation of the service, including all pipe, valves <br /> and valve boxes. <br /> Section 2.
