Library Board of Trustees Approved Meeting Minutes Thursday, May 17, 2007 Library Meeting Room, 1 st Floor 951 Spruce Street 6: 30 PM 1 . Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. 2. Roll Call The following Board members were present: · Nisa Bradley · Channah Horst · Lisa Kahn · Alicia Mahoney · Eileen Patrick · Mary Seifert Library staff members present: · Anne Mojo · Karen Freiter · Debra Van Tassel · Ann Stoffel · Sandra Richmond Members of the Public present: · Marty Garfield-Levine 121 Crestview Court Louisville · Azar Tzegai 135 S. Washington Avenue Louisville Absent: · Sheri Marsella, City Council Liaison 3. Approval of Agenda After a brief discussion regarding time allotments for each item, the agenda was unanimously approved as written. 4. Approval of Meeting Minutes The word "final" in the last sentence of Item 6b was deleted, and the minutes from the 15 March regular meeting were then unanimously approved. 5. Public Comments Two teenaged boys attended the meeting to learn more about how local governments resolve issues-specifically the IGA recently reached between Louisville and Superior concerning library services. They noted that they had been refused admittance to the recent Library Task Force Meeting. Anne explained that the task force meetings are not open to the public, but she did disclose what type of information was provided to Superior's town manager. Anne and several board members provided a brief outline of the issues and how the events unfolded over the past two years, including the fact that Superior is the only municipality of its size in Colorado without its own library services. Marty Garfield-Levine and Azar Tzegai thanked the Board and left the meeting.
