Specifically the location of the
trail in relation to the North side of the lake where there is a
significant treE~ stand. Included with this request would be to either
stop the proposed trail from reaching this area or give this area as
wide of a berth as possible.

Ember informed us that due to Great Horned Owl activity in the
area that the proposed trail will be placed as close to the housing
fences as possible. Also to steer fishing traffic away from this area,
Ember suggested a fishing area to the south, and sign the trail the
North as a "stay on trail" area with a bird watching blind. Ember
also mentioned that stocking of fish is considered for Hecla Lake
and the year round water levels will be a determining factor. Ember
will look into the timing of the construction to learn when our
feedback will be needed.
VI. Staff Updates
a. Adopt-an-open Space/Trail/Park Program
i.
