Don Brown's
presence will be requested, along with a Finance Manager or substitute
from the City so that we can review and resolve our dilemma with how
we are funded and how that affects our status with the SCFD. If Mr.
Brown and the City's finance person are unavailable for June 20th, then
we will have our regular meeting on that date and have the special
meeting in place of our regularly scheduled July meeting.

Recent events:
-Maryan reviewed the Swing Dance that took place at the Arts Center
on Friday, May 18th. Bob's offered a 15% discount to our attendees
for that evening; The Huckleberry provided cookies; water came from
King Sooper's. Attendance was low but a good time was had by all.
Future dance events will be scheduled October-April, probably 3: Hip
Hop, Ballroom and Salsa. Don recommended a Hip Hop instructor,
Kenny Jiminez from Motion Underground in Boulder. Maryan will follow
up in the fall.
-David reviewed Silent Movie, which was wonderful but not as well
attended as previous silent movie presentations. There were 60-70
people, the movie selection was very good and Rodney accompanied.
-Lisa Kihn reviewed the Young Writers Workshops. There were 4 great
sessions held in the new library. Wendy Fickbohm completely
underwrote the project so there was no cost to the LCe. Wild Oats
