ORDINANCE # 517 AN ORDINANC:e; AMENDING CHAPTERS 27 AND 22 OF THE uOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO. SECTION 1. Section,s 27.2-2 through 27.2-8 of the the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. The following sections are hereby added to the Louisville Municipal Code: Section 27.2-2 Classes of licenses. For the purpose of regulating the sale of malt, vinous, or spiritous liquors, the city council in its discretion, upon application in the prescribed form made to it, may issue and grant to the applicant a license to sell malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors of the following classes, lBubject to the provisions and restrictions of sale as to manner, plac4il and license fee as provided by this ordinance: 1) Retai~LiQuor store license. A retail liquor store license shall be issued to persons selling only malt, vinous, and spitituous liquors in sealed containers not to be consumed at the place where sold. 2) Liquo.r....}icensed drug store. A liquored-licensed drug store license shall be issued to persons selling malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors in sealed containers not to be consumed at the place where sold. J) Beer ,!!,!!!i wine license. A beer and wine license shall be issued to persons selling malt and vinous liquors in a place where such liqu6rs are to be consumed it said pl.ce is a hotel or restaurant. 4) Hotel~1d restaurant license. A hotel and restaurant license shall be issued to persons selling malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors in the place where such liquors are to be consumed subject to the following restrictions: a) Restaurants shall sell malt, vinous and spirituous liquors only to customers of such restaurant and only if meals are actually and regularly served and provide not less than twenty-five percent of ,.:the gross income of the business of the licensed premises. b) Hotels shall sell malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors only to customers of said hotel and, except in hotel rooms, only on the licensed premises where meals are actually and regularly served and provide not less than twenty-five percent of ~e gross restaurant income of the business of the licensed premises. c) Each hotel and restaurant licensee shall himself manage or have a separate and district manager and shall register said manager of each liquor licensed premises with the city. d) The city council may refuse to accept any person as a registered manager unless he is satisfactory to the city council as to his character, record, and reputation.
