<br />ORDINANCE # 517 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANC:e; AMENDING CHAPTERS 27 AND <br />22 OF THE uOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COLORADO. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section,s 27.2-2 through 27.2-8 of the the Louisville <br />Municipal Code are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The following sections are hereby added to the <br />Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />Section 27.2-2 Classes of licenses. <br /> <br />For the purpose of regulating the sale of malt, vinous, or <br />spiritous liquors, the city council in its discretion, upon application <br />in the prescribed form made to it, may issue and grant to the <br />applicant a license to sell malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors <br />of the following classes, lBubject to the provisions and restrictions <br />of sale as to manner, plac4il and license fee as provided by this <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />1) Retai~LiQuor store license. A retail liquor store <br />license shall be issued to persons selling only <br />malt, vinous, and spitituous liquors in sealed <br />containers not to be consumed at the place where sold. <br />2) Liquo.r....}icensed drug store. A liquored-licensed drug <br />store license shall be issued to persons selling <br />malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors in sealed <br />containers not to be consumed at the place where sold. <br />J) Beer ,!!,!!!i wine license. A beer and wine license shall <br />be issued to persons selling malt and vinous liquors <br />in a place where such liqu6rs are to be consumed it <br />said pl.ce is a hotel or restaurant. <br />4) Hotel~1d restaurant license. A hotel and restaurant <br />license shall be issued to persons selling malt, <br />vinous, and spirituous liquors in the place where <br />such liquors are to be consumed subject to the <br />following restrictions: <br />a) Restaurants shall sell malt, vinous and <br />spirituous liquors only to customers <br />of such restaurant and only if meals are <br />actually and regularly served and provide <br />not less than twenty-five percent of ,.:the <br />gross income of the business of the <br />licensed premises. <br />b) Hotels shall sell malt, vinous, and <br />spirituous liquors only to customers of <br />said hotel and, except in hotel rooms, only <br />on the licensed premises where meals are <br />actually and regularly served and provide <br />not less than twenty-five percent of ~e <br />gross restaurant income of the business <br />of the licensed premises. <br />c) Each hotel and restaurant licensee shall <br />himself manage or have a separate and <br />district manager and shall register said <br />manager of each liquor licensed premises <br />with the city. <br />d) The city council may refuse to accept any <br />person as a registered manager unless he <br />is satisfactory to the city council as to <br />his character, record, and reputation. <br />
