ORDINANCE ,/ (:; AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE "THE MODEL TRAFFIC CODE FOR COLORADO MUNICIPALITIES" 1962 EDITION AS AMI-NDED HEREIN, AND SETTING FORTH PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Pursuant to the authority conferred by Sections 1-8, Article 34, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, as amended, there is hereby adopted as the traffic ordinance for the Ci ty of Louisville, "The Model Traffic Code for Colorado Municipali ties" wi th the exception of ~*f""bl'i'tl>WltJ:>g section 172 of the Ordinance which is not so adopted and which is deleted. Section 2. "The Model Traffic Code for Colorado Municipalities" also referred to as "The Model Traffic Ordinance for Colorado Municipali ties" is published by the Colorado Highway Safety Council, for the purpose of providing uniform traffic laws for municipali ties throughout the State of Colorado. The MOdel Ordinance includes crunprehensive provisions covering: A. Rules of the Road, including rules for drivers, pedestrians and operators of bicyclesj B. Enforcement and Violation, including the policing of accidents and other violationsj C. Admin- istration, including the establishment of a traffic violation bureau and traffic administration. It was adopted and approved by the Colorado Highway Safety Council on September 10, 1962. Section 3. At least three certified copies of the Model Code are on file at the office of the City Clerk and may be inspected during regular business hours. In addition, copies are available for distribution and sale to the public at a price not to exceed $1.00 per copy. Section 4. The following sections of "The Model Traffic Code for Colorado Municipali ties" are hereby amended to read as follows: Section 79. Bicycle License Applications. Application for every bicycle license and license plate sharI be made upon a form provided by the city and shall be made to the chief of police. A license fee of fifty cents shall be paid to the ci ty clerk before each license is granted. A license shall be good and valid for the calendar year in which it is issued and it must be renewed for each subsequent calendar year. Section 169. Repeal. Chapter 31 of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled Traffic and Motor Vehicles, and all other former traffic ordinances of this municipality are hereby repealed, and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with or inconsistent wi th the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or puniShment of any person for any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of this ordinance. Section 5. That the Model Traffic Ordinance for Colorado Municipali ties is amended by adding subsectiruls to the following Sections:
