<br />AN ORDINAl~CE RELATING TO THE REGU~TION OF ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTER-
<br />ATION, REPAIR, MOVING, RID10VAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE,
<br />HEIGHT, AREA, ANu MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE,
<br />COLORADO; ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE OF THE INTE&~TIONAL
<br />CO~FERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS, 1970 EDITION, VOLUME 1; THE 1968 EDITION OF THE
<br />NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE PUBLISHED BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION; 1970
<br />EDITION AS AMENDED OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL
<br />ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL OFFICIALS, EXCEPT CHAPTERS 12 AND 13; CHAPTERS
<br />37 AND 51 AS ADOPTED BY THE C.ITY OF BROOMFIELD, COLORADO, ENTITLED CHIMNEYS, VE::\'TS,
<br />FIREPLACES 1u~ INCINERATORS GAS FITTING CODE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, PARTS AND
<br />SECTIONS OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, IN CONFLICT OR INCONSIS-
<br />TENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF SAID BUILDING
<br />CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING IN RELATION THERETO; AND, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
<br />THEREFOR.

<br />WHEREAS, The City of Louisville Council has determined that it is neces-
<br />sary and expedient that the building codes related to the City of Louisville be up-
<br />dated to adopt the current general building codes, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the adoption of said codes has been recommended by the Planning
<br />Commission of the City of Louisville, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Colorado provide for the adoption
<br />of such codes by reference, therefore,
<br />
<br />Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado:
<br />
<br />Section 1. Pursuant to the power and authority conferred by the laws of
<br />the State of Colorado, there is hE~reby adopted as the building code of the City of
<br />Louisville, by reference thereto, the Uniform Building Code of the International Con-
<br />ference of Building Officials, 19i'0 Edition, Volume 1, 50 South Los Robles, Pasadena,
<br />California 91101; the 1968 Edition of the National Electrical Code, as published by
<br />the National Fire Protection Assoeiation, 60 Batterymarch St., Boston, Mass. 02110;
<br />the 1970 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code as published by the International Asso-
<br />ciation of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, 5032 Alhambra Ave., Los Angeles, Cali-
<br />fornia 90032, except Chapters 12 and 13 entitled Fuel Gas Piping and Water Heaters and
<br />Vents; and Chapters 37 and 51 of the City of Br09mfield, Colorado duly published and
<br />entitled Chimneys, Vents, Fireplac:es and Incinerators Gas Fitting Code. The adopted
<br />codes have comprehensive provisiotls and standards regulating use, construction, repair,
<br />etc., of buildings and structures for purpose of protecting the public health, safety
<br />and general welfare.

<br />Section 2. Any and all sections or parts of sections of any ordinances or
<br />parts of ordinances or of the Code~ of the City of Louisville as amended in conflict or
<br />inconsistent herewith or hereby re~pealed, provided however, that the repeal of any
<br />sections or parts of sections of the Code of the City of Louisville, Colorado as amended,
<br />or of any ordinances or parts of ordinances of the City of Louisv~lle shall not revive
<br />any other section of saa code, ordinance or ordinances heretofor/epealed or superseded.

<br />Section 3. A public hearing on the adoption by reference thereto of the
<br />Uniform Building Code of the International Conference of Building Officials, 1970
<br />Edition, Volume 1; the 1968 Edition of the National Electrical Code published by The
<br />National Fire Protection Associati.on; 1970 Edition as amended of the Uniform Plumbing
<br />Code as published by the Internati.onal Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials,
<br />except Chapters 12 and 13; and Cha.pters 37 and 51 as adopted by the City of Broomfield,
<br />Colorado, entitled Chimneys, Vents, Fireplaces and Incinerators Gas Fitting Code, be,
<br />
