<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1214 <br />SERIES 1996 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF APPEALS IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />BUILDING CODES ADOPTED BY REFERENCE WITHIN TITLE 15 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, uniform national building and construction standards <br />have been adopted by the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and proper to establish a board of <br />appeals in order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, <br />or determinations made by the building official relative to the <br />application and interpretation of said uniform codes. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section <br />~ Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br />the addition of a new Chapter 15.56 to read as follows: <br /> <br />Chapter 15.56 <br /> <br />BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> <br />15.56.010 Building Code Board of Appeals. <br /> <br />A. There is hereby created the Building Code Board <br />of Appeals ("Board"). The purpose of the Board is to <br />hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or <br />determinations made by the building official relative to <br />the application and interpretation of the building codes, <br />and amendments thereto, as adopted from time to time by <br />reference within this Title 15. The Board shall consist <br />of five members who are qualified by experience and <br />training to pass on matters pertaining to building <br />construction and who are not employees of the City. <br />Residence within the city limits of Louisville shall not <br />be a requirement or qualification for appointment to the <br />Board. The building official shall be an ex officio <br />member of and shall act as secretary to the Board but <br />shall have no vote on any matter before the Board. <br /> <br />1 <br />
