<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1196 <br />SERIES 1995 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9.90 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING UNCLAIMED PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />notification, <br />property. <br /> <br />the City desires to revise its administrative, <br />transfer and disposition procedures for unclaimed <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Subsections Band D of Section 9.90.010 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code are hereby amended read as follows (words <br />to be deleted are stricken through; words to be added appear in <br />capital letters): <br /> <br />9.90.010 Definitions. <br /> <br />B. "Unclaimed property" means and includes any <br />tangible or intangible property, including any <br />income or increment derived therefrom, less any <br />lawful charges, that is held by or under the <br />control of the City and which has not been claimed <br />by its owner for a period of more than ~ THREE <br />months after it became payable, distributable, or <br />returnable; but does not include any abandoned <br />motor vehicle, the disposition of which is <br />otherwise provided for by law, nor any illegal <br />weapon nor other property the possession of which <br />is illegal under City, state, or federal law. The <br />term includes, but is not limited to, property <br />found or recovered by any person and turned in by <br />such person to the City, which property is <br />thereafter unclaimed by either the owner or the <br />finder of the property. <br /> <br />D. "Illegal weapon" means and includes a blackjack, <br />bomb, firearm silencer, defaced firearm, machine <br />gun, any shotgun having a barrel or barrels less <br />than eighteen inches long or an overall length of <br />less than twenty-six inches, any rifle having a <br />barrel less than sixteen inches long or an overall <br />length of less than twenty-six inches, any gas gun <br />designed for projecting gas-filled projectiles <br /> <br />1 <br />
