ORDINANCE NO. 1623 <br /> SERIES 2012 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 13.36 OF THE <br /> LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE,ENTITLED "STORMWATER—ILLICIT <br /> DISCHARGE AND CONSTRUCTION/POST CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS AND <br /> REGULATIONS" <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that control of pollutants into the Municipal Separate <br /> Storm Sewer System ("MS4") is necessary to protect and enhance the water quality of the City's <br /> watercourses, water bodies and wetlands; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted regulations codified in Chapter 13.36 <br /> of the Louisville Municipal Code which establish methods of controlling the introduction of <br /> pollutants into the MS4, and which comply with the requirements of the Colorado Discharge <br /> Permit System process; and <br /> WHEREAS, in further promotion of the health, safety, and general welfare of the <br /> citizens of the City of Louisville, the City Council desires to adopt amendments to various <br /> sections of said Chapter 13.36, entitled "Stormwater — Illicit Discharges and Construction/Post <br /> Construction Requirements and Regulations,"to update the provisions thereof <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. Section 13.36.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are stricken through): <br /> Sec. 13.36.010. General purpose and policy. <br /> The intent of this chapter is to protect and enhance the water quality of <br /> watercourses, water bodies and wetlands in a manner pursuant to and consistent <br /> with the Federal Clean Water Act and also to provide for the health, safety, and <br /> general welfare of the citizens of City of Louisville through the regulation of non- <br /> storm water discharges to the storm drainage system. This chapter establishes <br /> methods for controlling the introduction of pollutants into the Municipal Separate <br /> Storm Sewer System (MS4) in order to comply with requirements of the National <br /> Pollutant Discharge Elimination Colorado Discharge Ppermit System (NPDES <br /> CDPS) process. <br /> The objectives of this chapter are: <br /> 1.
