<br /> <br />Louisville Cultural Council <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 18, 2007 <br />Louisville Recreation Center <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br />I. Call to Order-Wendy Phillips called the meeting to order at 7 pm <br /> <br />II. Sandra Lilja appointed as recording secretary for the meeting <br /> <br />III. Approval of the agenda <br /> <br />IV. Approval of the prior meeting minutes <br /> <br />V. Roll call was taken and the following members were present: Wendy <br />Phillips, Kathy Martin, Sandra Lilja, Jim Pollicita, Kathy Pollicita, Don <br />Atwood, Carol Chen, Julie Kovash, Maryan Jaross, Lisa Kihn <br /> <br />VI. Public comments - None <br /> <br />VII. President's Report & Correspondence <br /> <br />We received the money from the SCFD grant - $6000. <br />Wendy announced that she is part of Boulder County Citizens Cultural <br />Advisory Committee and will be reviewing grants next year. <br />January 12 and 26 workshops for SCFD grant writing. She mentioned <br />that there were other types of grants LCC could possibly get from SCFD, <br />such as Presentation Grants. The grant workshop will describe those. <br /> <br />Scott Robson announced that October 30 is the public hearing for the <br />budget and November 5 will approve the final budget. The City has set <br />aside funds for LCC - $1200 hire the bookkeeper, $3600 for concerts in <br />the park and $5500 for art walk at Community Park. <br /> <br />The board discussed the job descriptions to help everyone understand the <br />responsibilities of being a board member. Don moved to approve the job <br />descriptions. Approval of job descriptions. <br /> <br />The board discussed requesting help from volunteers and the need to <br />manage these volunteers when we do get people to volunteer. We talked <br />about the need to keep track of the pool of volunteers and how best to use <br />them. <br />
