<br /> <br />Open Space Advisory Board <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 12, 2008 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />951 Spruce Street <br />1st Floor Meeting Room <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br />Call to Order - Vice Chairperson Tom Davinroy called the meeting to order at <br />7:02pm. <br /> <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Tom Davinroy, Truman Bradley, Kate LeMere, <br />Linda Smith, Larry Crowley, Spencer Guthrie <br /> <br />Board Members Absent: Bret Harper and Aaron Grider <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull <br /> <br />Introductions were made to welcome the new members. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda - <br />The agenda was approved by all members. <br /> <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes- <br />The minutes from the February 13th meeting were approved with a <br />correction to the spelling of Sean's name (of the Louisville Planning <br />Department). <br /> <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda- <br />Scott Lawless, 301 Van Buren Ct. suggested improvements to a dirt path <br />that connects the end of Sycamore Ct. with the Warembourg Open Space. <br />During wet weather the well used social trail becomes very muddy. <br /> <br />Doug Grinsberg, 530 W. Sycamore Circle, suggested that the board <br />consider 2 additional categories for ranking open space properties. <br />Soundscape: where one can hear birds and other natural sounds. Night <br />sky viewing: the ability to view stars and night objects with minimal light <br />pollution. He also suggested that the board reconsider the night visiting <br />hours restriction on open space which is open from one hour before <br />sunrise to one hour after sunset.
