<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 16, 2008 <br />City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order - Chairperson Heather Lewis called the meeting to order at 7: <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present: <br />Mike Koertje, Heather Lewis, Greg McMenamin, and <br />Melanie Julian Muckle <br /> <br /> <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Callan Childs and Laurel Tofte <br /> <br /> <br />e the agenda, McMenamin seconded <br /> <br />City Representatives: <br />Meredyth Muth, Public Rei <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda - Koertje moved to <br />the motion. All in agreement. <br /> <br />Approval of December 5 Minut <br />Lewis identified a typographical e <br />discussion for the evening sh <br />could submit her additions. Muckle had a number of comments but to limit <br />to hold over the minutes to February so that she <br />agreed to hold the minutes to the February <br /> <br />Lewis thanked membe . the audience for attending and showing such an interest in <br />historic preservation. She oted that the meeting tonight is not a public hearing, and <br />there is no 0 I action that the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) can take <br />regarding . ville Middle School project. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Com s on Items Not on the Agenda <br />John Leary, 111 LaFarge Avenue, thanked the Commission for the award it gave him <br />and his wife last year. He noted that he and his wife are currently planning to apply to <br />the Commission for landmark status for their house. He noted his feelings that this is one <br />way he can give back to the community and to save some of the historic fabric of <br />Louisville. Leary added that sometimes people who promote preservation are accused of <br />not wanting change which is not the case.
