Open Space Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />City of Louisville June 11th, 2008 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />951 Spruce Street <br />1St Floor Meeting Room <br />7:00 PM <br />Call to Order - Chairper::on Tom Davinroy called the meeting to order at <br />7:OOpm. <br />Roll Call was taken and lthe following board members were present: Tom <br />Davinroy, Truman Bradley, Nate LeMere, Larry Crowley, Aaron Grider, Spencer <br />Guthrie, and Bret Harper. <br />Absent: Linda Smith <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull <br />Approval of Agenda - <br />Larry moved to strike the Review of the Comprehensive Plan from <br />tonight's agenda. Aaron seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />Approval of May Meeting Minutes - <br />Tom had a correction for page 3: the cost of trails is $55,000. Ember <br />noted that on pagE: 2 (Kathy Kron and Kathy Martin's names were <br />misspelled. Bret moved to approve the minutes as amended. Larry <br />seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />No Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda. <br />Staff Updates -Ember E3rignull <br />1. Tree species by pf:rcE~ntage in Louisville was presented as maintained by <br />the city forester. <br />2. Mowing procedures are changing. Only two feet past a trail's edge will be <br />mowed down from four feet. Also, they will be cutting at flinches to help <br />weed management, down from two inches. This is down twice a year. <br />3. Kathy Kron has sent a Request for Proposal (RFP) to engineering for the <br />approved trails connections talked about at the last OSAB meeting. <br />4. A contractor will bE: spot spraying weeds on Daughenbaugh and Mullen. <br />5. Adopt a Trail group for Harper Lake will have 20-30 people pulling Diffuse <br />Knapweed. Weeds and trash recently pulled along Coal Creek filled over <br />twenty garbage bags. <br />6. Coyotes have dens in Tamarisk Open Space. Recently, off leash dogs <br />
