ORDINANCE NO. 1541 SERIES 2008 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.08 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE THE APPLICATION FEES FOR NEW LIQUOR LICENSES, TO IMPLEMENT A SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT APPLICATION FEE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE LOUISVILLE LOCAL LICENSING AUTHORITY TO ISSUE ART GALLERY PERMITS ALLOW][NG ART GALLERIES TO OFFER COMPLIMENTARY ALCOHOL BEVERAGES WHEREAS, by House Bill 07-149, the State Legislature authorized local liquor licensing authorities to increase liquor license and special events permit application fees; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the Louisville Municipal Code to increase the application fees for new liquor licenses and to implement a special events permit application fee to cover actual and necessary expenses; and WHEREAS, by House Bill 08-1105, the State Legislature authorized local liquor licensing authorities to issue art gallery permits allowing art galleries to offer complimentary beer, wine, and alcohol on not more than fifteen (15) days per year; and WHEREAS, the City Council desiires to amend the Louisville Municipal Code to allow the Louisville Local Licensing Authority to issue art gallery permits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Section 5.08.040 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are sttislo~): Sec. 5.08.040. Fees -Application and registration fees. The following license application and registration fees shall be paid to the city for all liquor licenses: A. Each application for a new license shall be accompanied by an application fee in the amount of $~1A:89625.00. H.
