ORDINANCE NO. 1751 SERIES 2017 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2017 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted from time to time certain building and construction standards including editions of the National Electric Code, and WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the interest of the pubhc health, safety and general welfare to adopt by reference thereto the updated edition of the National Electric Code, and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a pubhc heanng on this ordmance providing for the adoption of said code, and WHEREAS, the 2017 National Electric Code has been submitted to the City Council m wasting and the City Council has determined that such code should be adopted as herein set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Chapter 15 48 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows - Chapter 15 48 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE Sec 15 48 010 Adoption Sec 15 48 020 Copy on file Sec 15 48 030 Permit fees Sec. 15.48 040. Interpretation Sec. 15 48 050 Violations Sec. 15.48.010.- Adoption. Pursuant to C R S Title 31, Article 16, as amended The National Fire Protection Association standard number 70, hereafter known as the National Electrical Code, 2017 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, Massachusetts, 02169- 7471, is hereby adopted by reference as the Louisville Electrical Code as if fully set out in this ordmance codified herein with the additions, deletions, insertions and changes, if any, set forth herein, and such adoption is to have the same force and effect as if set forth herein m every particular The purpose and subject matter of the National Electrical Code includes muumum regulations for the Ordinance No 1751, Senes 2017 Page 1 of 3
