z. a <br />~~`' <br />i~ ~~ r <br />~:~= <br />Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00 PM <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Mike Frontczak called the meeting to order at 7:07 <br />pm. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Mike Frontczak, Theresa Rounds, Matt Tepe, <br />Ellen Toon <br />Staff Members Present: Chris Lichty, Dean Johnson, Joe Stevens <br />City Council Member Present: Dave Clabots <br />Guest: Ember Brignull, City of Louisville open space staff <br />Approval of Agenda -The agenda was approved by all members. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes -The minutes from the Nov. 6, 2008 meeting <br />were approved as written <br />Public Comments -None <br />Tree Protection Ordinances -Theresa commented that the tree protection <br />ordinance from the city of Highland Park, IL is very thorough. Mike offered to <br />check with Boulder County regarding specific requirements or restrictions. Joe <br />said his department can produce a draft ordinance for review and comment. <br />Review of draft City Integrated Weed Management Plan -Ember presented <br />the draft plan and explained some of the processes involved in its formulation. <br />Experts from various state agencies and CSU have reviewed the draft. Although <br />the draft does not contain site-specific recommendations (which would be in a <br />separate document), the intent is to apply the plan to a variety of City properties, <br />including open space, parks, and the golf course.
