ORDINANCE NO., 191. <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING OFFICERS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINT- <br /> MENT OF A DEPUTY TOWN CLERK, TO PRESCRIBE HIS BOND, AND TO PRESCRIBE <br /> AND REGULATE THE DUTIES AND SALARY OF THE DEPUTY TOWN CLERK, AND ,TO' <br /> REPEAL ALL ORDINANCES AND, PIRTS OF ORDIi4 LACES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH: <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUIS- <br /> VILLE, BOULDER COUNTY, COLORADO; <br /> Section 1. That at the first meeting of the Board of Trustees after <br /> the passage of this Ordinance and thereafter at the first meeting of <br /> the newly elected Board of Trustees of the Town of Louisville , after <br /> the first day of April, A. D. 1938, at which meeting the Board of <br /> Trustees s1iall' Ooceed to the appointment of appointive officers , <br /> and every year thereafter, there shall be appointed by the Board of <br /> Trustees one Deputy Town Clerk whose term of office shall be for the <br /> period of orie year and until' his successor is appointed at the' first <br /> meeting as hereinabove provided, unless otherwide removed from office <br /> for cause; provided, that such officer shall not hold office under <br /> such appointment or as filling .a vacancy beyond one Week after the <br /> succeeding Board of Trustees have qualified and entered upon the <br /> duties of their office; provided that this section shall not be <br /> construed as prohibiting such officer from succeeding himself upon <br /> due and regular appointment. <br /> Section 2. Amended by Ordinance No. 200. <br /> Section '3. That the duties of said Deputy Tara.n Clerk shall be to <br /> collect all water rentals, fees and fines due to the Town and keep <br /> proper records thereof and properly account for all moneys received <br /> for the Town to the Town Treasurer and such other duties as may be <br /> required of him by resolution of the Board of Trustees, and he <br /> shall, at ' all times , to the extent that the same does ,not conflict <br /> with any order or resolution of the Board of Trustees or of the Or- <br /> dinances of the Town, be under the direction and supervision of <br /> the, Town Clerk., <br /> Section 4,.. The said Deputy Town Clerk shall before entering upon <br /> the duties of his office , take and subscribe his official oath and <br /> execute a bond running to the Town of Louisville in the penal sum. <br /> of One Thousand Dollars ( 1,000. 00) , covering each and all of the <br /> functions of the said office as hereinabove described, with one or <br /> more good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the Board of <br /> Trustees and conditioned for the faithful discharge of his duties <br /> as defined by law and the Ordinances of the Town of Louisville , and <br /> that he will,, Whenever required by law or the Ordinances of the said <br /> Town, account for and promptly pay and deliver over to his successor <br /> in office, or to the person. authorized to receive the same, all <br /> moneys , papers and property in his custody or possession belonging <br /> to the . Town of Louisville. ' <br /> Section 5. That in the case of a vacancy in the office of Deputy <br /> Town Clerk caused by death, resignation, removal from office or <br /> from the Town of Louisville, then the Board of Trustees shall appoint <br />
