ORDINANCE NO., 191. AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING OFFICERS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINT- MENT OF A DEPUTY TOWN CLERK, TO PRESCRIBE HIS BOND, AND TO PRESCRIBE AND REGULATE THE DUTIES AND SALARY OF THE DEPUTY TOWN CLERK, AND ,TO' REPEAL ALL ORDINANCES AND, PIRTS OF ORDIi4 LACES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUIS- VILLE, BOULDER COUNTY, COLORADO; Section 1. That at the first meeting of the Board of Trustees after the passage of this Ordinance and thereafter at the first meeting of the newly elected Board of Trustees of the Town of Louisville , after the first day of April, A. D. 1938, at which meeting the Board of Trustees s1iall' Ooceed to the appointment of appointive officers , and every year thereafter, there shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees one Deputy Town Clerk whose term of office shall be for the period of orie year and until' his successor is appointed at the' first meeting as hereinabove provided, unless otherwide removed from office for cause; provided, that such officer shall not hold office under such appointment or as filling .a vacancy beyond one Week after the succeeding Board of Trustees have qualified and entered upon the duties of their office; provided that this section shall not be construed as prohibiting such officer from succeeding himself upon due and regular appointment. Section 2. Amended by Ordinance No. 200. Section '3. That the duties of said Deputy Tara.n Clerk shall be to collect all water rentals, fees and fines due to the Town and keep proper records thereof and properly account for all moneys received for the Town to the Town Treasurer and such other duties as may be required of him by resolution of the Board of Trustees, and he shall, at ' all times , to the extent that the same does ,not conflict with any order or resolution of the Board of Trustees or of the Or- dinances of the Town, be under the direction and supervision of the, Town Clerk., Section 4,.. The said Deputy Town Clerk shall before entering upon the duties of his office , take and subscribe his official oath and execute a bond running to the Town of Louisville in the penal sum. of One Thousand Dollars ( 1,000. 00) , covering each and all of the functions of the said office as hereinabove described, with one or more good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the Board of Trustees and conditioned for the faithful discharge of his duties as defined by law and the Ordinances of the Town of Louisville , and that he will,, Whenever required by law or the Ordinances of the said Town, account for and promptly pay and deliver over to his successor in office, or to the person. authorized to receive the same, all moneys , papers and property in his custody or possession belonging to the . Town of Louisville. ' Section 5. That in the case of a vacancy in the office of Deputy Town Clerk caused by death, resignation, removal from office or from the Town of Louisville, then the Board of Trustees shall appoint
