ORDINANCE NO. 195 AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN INSPECTOR OF BUILDINGS , TO DEFINE HIS POWLRES AND DUTIES AND TO REGULATE THE CON- STRUCTION AND REMOVAL OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES WITHIN THE THE TOWN OF LOUISVILLE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, BOULDER COUNTY, COLORADO. ARTICLE 1. There is hereby established and created the office of "Building Inspector" of said Town. ARTICLE 2. The duly qualified Clerk of the Town is hereby created the building inspector hereunder. ARTICLE 3. DUTIES SECTION 1. It shall be the duty of the -building inspector to in- spect every building or other structure being constructed, removed, altered, extended, repaired or torn down, and to ascertian whether a permit has been had from the proper authorities for such con- struction, removal, alteration, extension, repair or tearing down. SECTION 2. He shall have the power to inspect all buildings or other structures within the Town for the purpose of ascert:.ining whether 'or not they comply with the various Ordinances of the Town and the Laws of the State of Colorado. SECTION 3. It shall be the duty to report to the Mayor or other chief executive officers of the Town of Louisville any violation of the Ordinances of the Town or State Laws relative to any build- ing of, other structure within the Town and to report the con- struction, removal, alteration, extension, repair or tearing down of any building or structure, or any art thereof unless the person or persons doing such construction, removal alteration, extension, repair or tearing down has a permit so to do. SECTION 4. It shall be the duty of the building inspector to keep a record of all persons constructing, removing, altering, -extend- ing, reparing or tearing down any building or other structure, or `any part thereof within the Town, and submit a report of the same to the Board of Trustees at least every three months. ARTICLE 4, PERMITS SECTION 1. Before the removal, construction, alteration or exten- sion of any building or other structure, or any part thereof cost- ing over $25.00, is begun in the Town, the owner or persons doing the work thereon shall obtain a permit so to do from the Board of Trustees, upon application in writing to the said Board on suitable application blanks furnished by the said Board.
