It
occurred to me that there is real value for this commission to go back and take a tour of projects
you approved, whether it is North End or Steel Ranch or small infill development. It is interesting
and informative to go back and look at the plats, plans, and renderings you approved, and see
the reality on the ground. I think it would make us all better at moving forward, if we see the
relationship between the drawings presented and actual 3-dimensional, out of the ground,
vertical development that happens based on the approvals. As you look at your work plan for
the coming year, you can build in some time to visit some of the projects you've approved, and
take a look at how they execute on the ground. It was illuminating for the LRC to walk through
DELO, and get a sense of scale and mass. Going back to when Monica Sheets was on this PC
for the first time, looking at the renderings for North End and what came out of the ground,
looking at the renderings for Steel Ranch and what came out of the ground, and looking at the
City of Louisville
Department of Planning and Building Safety
749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303.335.4592 (phone) 303.335.4550 (fax) www.LouisvilleCO.gov
