ORDINANCE NO. 1427 SERIES 2003 AN ORDINANCE INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2003 EDITION OF THE BUILDING CODE, THE 2003 EDITION OF THE RESIDENTIAL CODE, THE 2003 EDITION OF THE MECHANICAL CODE, THE 2003 EDITION OF THE FUEL GAS CODE, THE 2003 EDITION OF THE ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE, THE 2003 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE, THE 2003 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, AND THE 2002 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE; ENACTING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE FOREGOING INTERNATIONAL CODES; ESTABLISHING FEES UNDER THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE; AMENDING, REPEALING AND REENACTING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION WITH THE ADOPTION OF THE FOREGOING INTERNATIONAL CODES; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SUCH CODES. WHEREAS, national building and construction standards have been developed and from time to time amended and updated, as set forth in various model codes, and it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Louisville, and in the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare to adopt by reference thereto certain model codes and to make certain amendments thereto which are tailored to accommodate particular circumstances and requirements of the City; and WHEREAS, the Louisville Building Code Board of Appeals and City staff has reviewed the 2003 Editions of the International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Fire Code, the 2003 International Plumbing Code, and the 2002 Edition of the National Electrical Code and recommends adoption of the same to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said codes; and WHEREAS, the model codes and amendments thereof have been submitted to the City Council in writing and the City Council has, determined that the codes and amendments thereof should be adopted as set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Chapter 15.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
