REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL JULY 20, 1976 Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following Council members present: DiLorenzo, Caranci, DiCarlo, McDonald and DelPizzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Morris, City Planner Drumm, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk Santilli. Absent: Councilman Domenico and Engineer White. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes of July 6, 1976, meeting as presented. COUNCIL ITEMS RTD PROPOSAL Mr. Wurl reviewed the proposal from RTD regarding paratransit van-type vehicles under independent operators within the City. He stated that he felt Louisville is en- titled to the same type of programs as the larger communities. Mr. Wurl stated that the City puts in approximately $15,000 per year and can not get out of the program for several years. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did not approve of RTD's proposal and moved that a letter be sent denying their pro- posal. Councilman DiCarlo seconded the motion. Roll call vote. DelPizzo yes, Caranci no, DiCarlo no, DiLorenzo no, McDonald no. Motion defeated. Mr. Wurl stated that he had talked with RTD representatives and this was the type of plan they felt would be good for a beginning. Percy Conarroe stated that he served on the RTD group and that RTD has more maps of the county of Boulder and have done enough planning on the system. He felt that it was time for RTD to supply some type of service to the City. Jane Bostwick of Louisville stated that she had attended a public meeting and thought that the City should visit with RTD representatives and let them know what the City needs. Mr. Conarroe stated that the City has told the RTD Board what the City needs but nothing was ever done.
