<br />ADJOURNED MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />OCTOBER 23, 1973 <br /> <br />The adjourned meeting was called to order by Mayor pro-tern King at 7:30 <br />P.M. with Councilmen Deborski, Jensen, Donovan, Scholl and Domenico pre- <br />sent. Also nresent were City Administrator Wurl, City Treasurer Hesson, <br />and City Attorney Morris. Absent - Mayor Caranci, and City Clerk McNulty. <br />Adjourned meeting called for the purpose of approving the budget for the <br />fiscal year - January 1, 1971j. to December 31, 1974. <br /> <br />NEvJ FIRE HOUSE <br /> <br />ELECTION JUDGES <br /> <br />Hayor Pro-tern King referred to memo of October 23rd <br />from City Engineer Dan "'fuite indicating that caissons <br />should be~ used for the footings at the new fire <br />hall at an increase of $2,861.00. Councilman Deborski <br />moved that the contract be amended to include the <br />increase of $2,861.00 bringing the total to $94,747.57. <br />Seconded by Councilman Donovan. Question called for. <br />Candidate Tony DelPizzo from the first ward questioned <br />why the caissons had not been figured in the original <br />bid. This was explained thoroughly by the Council <br />members and the Contractor - l"Ir. Fleming. <br />Mayor Pro-tern King also stated the City Engineer <br />should be commended for obtaining the soil samples <br />from R. V. Lord regarding this project as we would <br />have had a building that would have cracked within <br />5 years. <br />Roll call vote - Deborski yes, Jensen yes, Donovan <br />yes, Scholl yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />") <br /> <br />City Administrator Wurl reported that Mrs. Albert <br />Schmidt is unable to serve in Ward 1 and with Council's <br />permission the two other women that were not appointed <br />should be appointed as alternate Judges. <br />Councilman Deborski moved that Hrs. 1'1arie Noonan be <br />appointed election judge in Hard 1 in place of Hrs. <br />Schmidt. Seconded by Councilman Donovan. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Domenico moved that Hrs. Katherine Horgan <br />be appointed as alternate election judge for Ward 3. <br />Seconded bv Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Deborski moved that Mrs. Susan Lastoka <br />be appointed as alternate election judge in Ward 1. <br />Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />At the time of the meeting no one had applied for <br />alternate election judge in Bard 2. Council members <br />were to think of someone. In the interim Mrs. Marvin <br />Watts exuressed her desire to be appointed, and was <br />sent the-necessary papers to fill this vacancy. <br />
