ADJOURNED MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 23, 1973 The adjourned meeting was called to order by Mayor pro-tern King at 7:30 P.M. with Councilmen Deborski, Jensen, Donovan, Scholl and Domenico pre- sent. Also nresent were City Administrator Wurl, City Treasurer Hesson, and City Attorney Morris. Absent - Mayor Caranci, and City Clerk McNulty. Adjourned meeting called for the purpose of approving the budget for the fiscal year - January 1, 1971j. to December 31, 1974. NEvJ FIRE HOUSE ELECTION JUDGES Hayor Pro-tern King referred to memo of October 23rd from City Engineer Dan "'fuite indicating that caissons should be~ used for the footings at the new fire hall at an increase of $2,861.00. Councilman Deborski moved that the contract be amended to include the increase of $2,861.00 bringing the total to $94,747.57. Seconded by Councilman Donovan. Question called for. Candidate Tony DelPizzo from the first ward questioned why the caissons had not been figured in the original bid. This was explained thoroughly by the Council members and the Contractor - l"Ir. Fleming. Mayor Pro-tern King also stated the City Engineer should be commended for obtaining the soil samples from R. V. Lord regarding this project as we would have had a building that would have cracked within 5 years. Roll call vote - Deborski yes, Jensen yes, Donovan yes, Scholl yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. ") City Administrator Wurl reported that Mrs. Albert Schmidt is unable to serve in Ward 1 and with Council's permission the two other women that were not appointed should be appointed as alternate Judges. Councilman Deborski moved that Hrs. 1'1arie Noonan be appointed election judge in Hard 1 in place of Hrs. Schmidt. Seconded by Councilman Donovan. All in favor. Motion carried. Councilman Domenico moved that Hrs. Katherine Horgan be appointed as alternate election judge for Ward 3. Seconded bv Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. Motion carried. Councilman Deborski moved that Mrs. Susan Lastoka be appointed as alternate election judge in Ward 1. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. Motion carried. At the time of the meeting no one had applied for alternate election judge in Bard 2. Council members were to think of someone. In the interim Mrs. Marvin Watts exuressed her desire to be appointed, and was sent the-necessary papers to fill this vacancy.
