Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes — Approved TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2009 Library Board Room, 2nd Floor 951 Spruce Street 6:30 PM I.Call to Order Board President Eileen Patrick called the meeting to order at 6:34pm. II.Roll Call Board members present: Library staff members present: Nisa Bradley Karen Freiter  Meredith Davis Aimee Schumm  Alicia Mahoney  Eileen Patrick  Jeannie Schuman  Lisa Skumatz  Dustin Weeden  III.Approval of Agenda The agenda was unanimously approved as written. IV.Approval of Meeting Minutes Minutes from the 19 August 2009 were approved, with one correction—adding Alicia Mahoney’s name to the list of Board members present. V.Public Comments None. VI.Trustee Informational Comments on Pertinent Items Not on the Agenda None. VII.Ongoing Business A.Review Draft Ordinance Amending Sections 2.64.010, 2.64.020, and 2.64.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code and Revise Library Board of Trustees By-laws Eileen began the discussion by noting that she had received an email from Meredyth Muth, City of Louisville Public Relations Manager, notifying the Board that a template for all Board and Commission bylaws was being prepared by the City Manager’s Office. Because of the effort put forth thus far and the Board’s commitment to complete this process in a timely manner, they unanimously agreed to proceed with revisions to their bylaws and to incorporate the City’s template, as appropriate, when it becomes available.
