RESOLUTION NO. 15 SERIES 2002 A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE WARD BOUNDARIES FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO TO CONFORM TO CONSTITUTIONAL APPORTIONMENT REQUIREMENTS WHEREAS, based on the 2000 federal decennial census and subsequent growth in the population of the City, it is necessary and appropriate for the City Council to change ward boundaries to conform to constitutional apportionment requirements; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the change in ward boundaries contained in this resolution conforms to the constitutional apportionment requirements, complies with the requirements of the City charter, and is in the best interests of the citizens of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: 1. The boundaries of Ward 1 of the City of Louisville, Colorado are revised so that Ward 1 is that area within the City that lies north of the line described as follows: Beginning at the center of Section 12, Township 1 South, Range 70 West proceeding east approximately 650 feet; thence north to the northwest comer of Anderson 'B' Annexation; thence proceeding east along the north boundary of said annexation to the centerline of McCaslin Boulevard; thence north along the centerline of McCaslin Boulevard to the southwest comer of Hilltop Subdivision; thence east along the south boundary of Hilltop Subdivision to the southeast comer of said subdivision; thence continuing east along the north boundary of the Grove Subdivision to the centerline of Washington Avenue; thence north along the centerline of Washington Avenue to the centerline of west South Boulder Rd; thence continuing east along the centerline of west South Boulder Rd. to the centerline of Via Appia Boulevard; thence southwest along the centedine of Via Appia Boulevard to the northwest comer of the Fischer Farm Subdivision; thence south along the west boundary of Section 8, Township 1, Range 69 West, to the southwest comer of the Spruce Lane Subdivision; thence east along the south boundary of said subdivision to the southeast comer of West Pine Village Subdivision; thence north along the east boundary of the West Pine Village Subdivision to the centerline of Pine Street; thence along the centerline of Pine Street easterly to the intersection with State Highway 42, thence continuing easterly along the centerline of Empire Road to the City limits. 2. The boundaries of Ward 2 of the City of Louisville, Colorado are revised so that Ward 2 is that area within the City that lies between the line described herein as the south line of Ward 1 and the line described herein as the north line of Ward 3.
