<br />RESOLUTION NO. 15 <br />SERIES 2010 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE CREATION OF A GOLF COURSE <br />ADVISORY BOARD AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MASTER PLAN FOR <br />THE COAL CREEK GOLF COURSE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Coal Creek Golf Course is a major park and recreation asset to the <br />City of Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is important for this community asset to be maintained and <br />managed in a manner that maximizes its benefits for all golfers and the citizens of <br />Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish an advisory Board to give the <br />City Council recommendations 011 matters related to the Coal Creek Golf Course; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council by this resolution desires to set forth certain provisions <br />regarding membership, goals and responsibilities for the Golf Course Advisory Board <br />(GCAB), which serves as an advisory Board to the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during its March 2, 2010 meeting the City Council approved an <br />agreement between the City of Louisville and Western Golf Properties (WGP) for the <br />management of the Coal Creek Golf Course, and WGP and the City are subject to the <br />provisions of that agreement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Golf Course Advisory Board (the "Board") shall serve in an advisory <br />capacity to City Council. The membership, appointments, terms and rules regarding the <br />Board and its members shall be as follows: <br /> <br />A. Membership. The Board shall consist of seven (7) members providing a <br />balanced, community-wide representation. All members will be residents <br />of Louisville. <br /> <br />B. Appointments and terms of office. Members of the Board shall be <br />appointed by the City Council and shall serve three-year staggered terms <br />from the date of appointment. In order to stagger the initial terms of <br />membership, the original membership shall serve as follows: <br /> <br />Two (2) appointees shall serve terms that begin on the date of <br />appointment and extend to the end of that calendar year plus one year; <br /> <br />1 <br />
