<br />Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 18, 2006 <br />Louisville Center for the Arts <br />7:00 <br />PM <br />Call to Order <br /> – Chairperson Wendy Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:10. <br />Roll Call <br /> was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Wendy Phillips, Julie Kovash, David Hosansky, Don <br />Atwood, Maryan Jaross, Andrea Harbeck Kathy Policita, Lisa Kihn <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Staff Members Present: Kathy Martin, Julie Seydel <br />Approval of Agenda <br /> – The agenda was approved by all members. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes <br />– The minutes from the _July 20, 2006_ meeting <br />were approved. <br />Public Comments <br /> - None <br />President's Report and Correspondence - SCFD award $8800 for General <br />Operating Support. Needs clarification. We asked for $3500 for the Senior <br />Cultural Cafe Project . <br />Annie resigned. <br />If you have any revenues deposit them yourself. We are at the Heritage Bank on <br />Main Street. Just say Louisville Cultural Council. <br />Changing name with IRS. Kathy M. will work on it. <br />Attempt to keep meetings to 9. Wendy suggests keeping guests to 5-10 minute <br />presentations and have a few minutes for questions. Although we’ll be flexible as <br />we want to encourage guests. We all need to monitor ourselves for excessive <br />time spent on topics. Shoot for 8 or 8:15 for starting new business. <br />Kathy emphasizes we need a treasurer. Wendy cannot hold two board positions. <br />Letter to the editor, post something at rec center.
