<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1156 <br />SERIES 1994 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CLARIFYING WATER AND <br />SEWER RATES AND CHARGES. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is in the best interest <br />of the City to clarify certain water and sewer rates and charges. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 3.12.020 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code 1S amended to read as follows (words to be deleted are <br />stricken through; words to be added appear in capital letters): <br /> <br />13.12.020 Tap fee - Generally. <br /> <br />A. No water service shall be furnished to the consumer <br />until a tap permit has been issued. The city shall <br />provide a meter, a yoke, a corporation valve, a <br />meter pit, if required, and all labor involved in <br />installing the corporation valve. The owner shall <br />be responsible for all excavation, and for <br />installation of the service from the water main to <br />the structure served. <br /> <br />B. For each unattached dwelling unit, a separate water <br />tap must be purchased from the city and all <br />required tap fees paid to the city. Apartment <br />units and condominium units shall not be treated as <br />an unattached dwelling. <br /> <br />C. The amount of the tap fee for residential units <br />shall be DETERMINED BY THE CITY AND SHALL BE BASED <br />UPON THE PROVISIONS OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE <br />THEN IN EFFECT AND the ~mount determined by <br />reference to THE APPROPRIATE TABLE T~bleo ~ ~nd B <br />as set forth in Sectiono 13.12. 030 ~nd SECTION <br />13.12.040, reopecti~ely; provided that the minimum <br />tap fee paid for each multi-family unit other than <br />a townhouse after payment in full for the first tap <br />issued shall be sixty percent of the existing <br />charge for a three-quarter- inch tap and provided <br />that the minimum tap fee paid for each townhouse in <br />a group of attached townhouses, as defined in <br />Louisville Municipal Code Section 17.08.560, after <br />payment in full for the first tap issued, shall be <br />eighty (80%) percent of the existing charge for a <br />three-quarter inch tap. <br /> <br />1 <br />
