ORDINANCE NO. 1045 . ~ AN ORDINANCE HAKING THE POSITION OF CITY TREASURER APPOINTIVE RATHER THAN ELECTIVE IF APPROVED BY THE VOTERS OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, AND CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION THEREON. WHEREAS, state law permits the City Council of the City of Louisville to submit for the approval of the registered electors of Louisville a proposal that the position of City Treasurer be made appointive rather than elective, the appointments to be made by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the registered electors of Louisville should be given the opportunity to decide whether the position of City Treasurer should be appointive rather than elective. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Louisville Code are appear in capital stricken through): 2.24.010 Election - Salary - Bond.
