<br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE CREATION OF THE COAL CREEK WA-
<br />TER USERS ASSOCIATION, INCORPORATED.
<br />The City Council o:f Louisville in full consultation and considera-
<br />tion with the other municipalities within the Coal Creek area, believes
<br />that public convenience, health and necessity require the organization
<br />of a Non-Profit Corporation to acquire, construct and administer water
<br />supply and sanitation disposal facilities, and
<br />WHEREAS, these functions require area-wide coordination to pro-
<br />vide total service and practical operation, and
<br />WHEREAS, this area represents a large disseminated area of metro-
<br />politan proportions, problems, and potential that a broad based corporate
<br />structure is deemed necessary as provided by Law, and
<br />WHEREAS, the purpose of said corporation shall be to acquire, by
<br />appropriation, purchase, or otherwise, the ownership or control of water,
<br />water rights and water privileges, and to hold, use, sell, or lease the
<br />same or arty part thereof, for domestic, irrigation, manufacturing, recre-
<br />ation and other beneficial, uses; also to acquire, by purchase, or other-
<br />wise, the ownership, or control of the rights of way over land in said
<br />service area, so far as the same may be necessary, for the construction,
<br />maintenance and use of dams, reservoirs, canals, ditches, pipes, flumes,
<br />conduits, settling ponds, treatment plants, compensating reservoirs, and
<br />aqueducts necessary to collect, store, convey and distribute water or
<br />sewage for each and all of the aforesaid purposes, and to purchase, own,
<br />hold, construct, maintain and use such structures, and water or sewage
<br />works and sell or lease tYie same, or any part thereof; and to construct,
